BIO
Andrew is a TEDx and CPD accredited speaker, podcaster, award-winning campaigner for men and boys and soon-to-be author!
Leading in his work on men's mental health, wellbeing, burnout, stress and domestic abuse, Andrew has a down-to-earth speaking style, exploring sensitive topics with humour and vulnerability. Andrew serves diverse organisations, from Specsavers to National Highways, from HSBC to University of Liverpool, NFU Mutual to Amazon, councils, NHS trusts, schools and colleges. Andrew is on a mission to break down the barriers which prevent communities from thriving and to help create workplace cultures rooted in psychological safety, where everyone feels that they belong, are valued and where people feel safe to talk openly about sensitive topics.
Andrew’s podcast, Men on Show, showcases the stories of everyday male heroes and leading male researchers in the men’s wellbeing field, covering topics such as PTSD, suicide, sobriety, forgiveness, burnout, resilience, sexual abuse, men’s communities, education, the manosphere and fatherhood. The purpose of the podcast is to spread positive stories of masculinity, whilst also examining taboo topics, shedding light on issues which often divide people.
His TEDx talk (over 140K views) is one of the only TED/TEDx talks on YouTube, which examines the issue of female perpetrated domestic violence, drawing on his lived experiences and wider research, exploring the issues which male survivors face, from shame to gaslighting and the family courts.
Outside of his working life, Andrew is also a father of 5, including 3 boys under 12, which means he's a warzone reporter, triage nurse, health and safety officer, tutor, cook, cleaner, bribery and blackmailing guru, zoo-keeper and overstretched caretaker. It also means his daily FitBit step count is never less than 15K.
If he’s not working, parenting or hanging out with his wife, he can either be found on a football field (he’s a half-decent left footed player, who hopes to still be playing in his 80s) or in the pub with his men’s community, or at the diving pool, where following his parachute jump last year to raise money for Mankind Initiative, he is continuing to overcome his fear of heights by learning to dive off the highest platforms.

Testimonials
“Andrew delivered an outstanding presentation on men’s mental health that left a lasting impression on all attendees. I wholeheartedly recommend him as a speaker for any future events, as his expertise, engaging delivery, and ability to connect with the audience make him a standout presenter.”
CEO – Road Safety Markings Association
“The feedback following the event has been amazing: too many to mention here. But my personal favourite is one saying, “brilliant mate, the best network event by far.”
People and OD Business Partner – The Mining Remediation Authority
“Your talk was brilliant. Everyone took a lot from it and it really set the tone for the rest of the conference, with lots of engagement and discussion from the attendees.”
Events Organiser – Nuclear Restoration Services
“Andrew has delivered a number of keynote talks and workshops at BCU. The feedback we get, from staff, is fantastic every time. Their only criticism is that they would like more time with him. Andrew is our first port of call for his subject matters: if we still used phones for actual phone calls, he would be on speed dial!”
Birmingham City University
“Andrew is an engaging speaker and the feedback we have from member organisations who have booked Andrew is always excellent. He has a creative and positive communication style and always seems able to draw people into participating/engaging with the content, creating a space in which people feel empowered to get involved and share their thoughts and ideas.”
