Bio
Duncan Covey is an endurance cyclist and adventurer, trusted by tens of thousands on social media to share a rare glimpse into the authentic reality of life on the road. Duncan is perhaps best known for cycling around the world solo, a life changing adventure that saw him facing unimaginable challenges from being extorted at gunpoint by the mafia in Eastern Europe, to escaping criminals from a locked compound in the Uzbek desert, to surviving cyclones and bone-breaking crashes - a showreel of worst case scenarios.
Reeling from the challenges, Duncan sought professional help and slowly recovered as the journey east continued, a story equal parts epic road tale, relentless test of resilience, and love letter to the kindness of strangers. He launched a national award shortlisted fundraiser, raising over £20,000 for charity as a champion for the power of protecting mental wellbeing.
Upon his return, he now shares his experiences and what we can all learn from them everywhere from corporate boardrooms to school assemblies in talks as engaging as they are entertaining, opening up to bring a world of vulnerability, humour and a natural humility to the audience.
In February 2026, he will bikepack solo across Australia's infamous Nullarbor Plain with a pair of golf clubs strapped to the back of his bike in an attempt to take on the Nullarbor Links - at almost 1400km long, the longest golf course in the world. While a strong, experienced and accomplished adventurer by bike, Duncan is a complete novice on the golf course so it promises to be another entertaining story for his dedicated online followers to watch unfold before it becomes another story in an ever growing portfolio to draw upon to translate inspiring tales of adventure to valuable insights for high performance environments.

"I would highly recommend Duncan who spoke at our sustainability conference to a multi national audience (some online but most in the room). Duncan was very well received by the delegates who commended him for speaking both passionately and openly about his adventures and mental health. The Q&A with Duncan was a real hit and he brings a real energy to the room. The feedback after the event on his session was excellent and I was particularly impressed by the way in which he was able to frame the lessons he has learnt in a business context."
Cornwall Talk Attendee
“A special evening to hear tales of adventure. Not one hesitation or repetition during the whole evening - an excellent raconteur."
